FAQs FAQs

How much does a website cost?
This really depends on the size of the project and how many features are required. We provide relevant quotes based on an initial consultation with you, followed by a detailed proposal.

How long does it take?
This again depends on the size of the project.  Although we have completed projects within a week, the average timeline is usually 3 to 6 weeks.  We will give you an assessment of the time scales involved once we’ve had a chance to assess your requirements and any time constraints either party may be under.

Are your websites SEO friendly?
YES – every single one is developed with on page SEO built in. We take great care to use coding that allows search engines to crawl and “like” your website. Our quality SEO is built into our service from the beginning, by building the solid base of a search engine friendly website.

What is web hosting?
The physical space on a computer where your website files (pages, pictures etc) reside physically. Websites are not operable without hosting. We can advise you on the web host you choose, or work with your preferred host.

Do you do e-commerce websites?
Although this is not a service that we provide, we have partners that could do so on our behalf.

What is website maintenance?
Website maintenance is simply the service of keeping your website fresh, by modifying content such as text, pages, pictures, or video. Anything we change on your website after it has gone live is considered website maintenance. All of our websites are developed with a CMS (content management system) that allows you to do a lot of the web maintenance yourself. However, we also offer web maintenance services on a call off contract if you’d prefer to leave the technical stuff alone.

Can I see how many people have visited my website?
We will install Google Analytics software which will effectively track all your traffic. In addition, if you choose our SEO services, we will analyse your statistics for you each month, interpret them, and let you know where improvements can be made.

Do you provide training for managing my website?
This is an optional service, but we do provide computer based training for you and your team.

Do you redesign existing websites?
Whilst it is often best to start from scratch, we are happy to review an existing website and advise where improvements can be made.

What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation, and its aim is to make your website visible to the right people, and generate more business.  SEO ensures that your website appears as high as possible (even first) in search engine results for your relevant search terms.  It is the most cost effective way to get relevant traffic to your site.

How much does it cost?
This depends on the competitiveness of what you want to achieve. For instance, being on page 1 of a Google search for “accountant in Chelsea” will be much less competitive than if you want to compete for “car insurance”. In addition, the SEO strategies and budgets required will be completely different. This is why the question can only be answered once we have an idea of what we are trying to achieve, so it is best to speak to us first. Please call us or email to discuss.

Do you provide ethical SEO in accordance with Google T&C?
Yes, absolutely. We follow the best SEO practice, keep up to date with Google’s requirements, and we never do anything unethical.

Do you work with Video and video optimisation, such as Youtube and other channels of video promotion?
Yes. Since Google bought YouTube, this is becoming more and more important and a great way of boosting search engine presence.

Blog post 150x150 FAQsTwitter and LinkedIn are not things I want to learn. Can you help? Why do I need to get involved with social media at all?
We don’t blame you. With a business to run, there is little time to spend on LinkedIn and Twitter. It is, however, an increasingly important part of web marketing, and that’s why our team can provide a full social media service as well. Today, it is necessary for businesses to engage with the Internet in the same way as their customers, press, and staff.
